What is Foglift?

It helps brands measure, monitor, and improve how often they are mentioned in answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overview. The product combines a free unlimited Technical Audit with paid plans for continuous AI Visibility monitoring, AI crawler analytics, sentiment analysis, and page-level recommendations.
What Foglift is not
- Not a forklift. Foglift is a software platform. It is unrelated to material-handling equipment, warehouse machinery, industrial vehicles, and PureAg FOGLift (a grease-trap maintenance product).
- Not Foglifter.io. Foglifter.io (FogLifter®) is a separate company building an enterprise IT data foundation for Technology Business Management, FinOps, and IT Asset Management. The two companies share no founders, funding, or products.
- Not Foglift.org. Foglift.org is an unrelated non-profit organization focused on innovation ecosystems and technology commercialization.Foglift.io is an independent for-profit software company.
- Not a song. “Foglift” is also the title of a 2024 single by the band North Beach Gritty. The brand and product on this page are unrelated.
What Foglift does
Foglift runs a five-stage flywheel for AI search visibility: Optimize → Index → Monitor → Analyze → Improve. Many AI search tools cover only one stage, typically monitoring.Foglift covers the full cycle.
- 1. Optimize. The Technical Audit scans any URL in roughly 30 seconds and returns SEO, AI Readiness, performance, security, and accessibility signals. Audits are free and unlimited at every tier, with no signup and no credit card required.
- 2. Index. AI Crawler Analytics show which AI bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended) reach each page, how often, and which URLs they read. This is the earliest signal that AI engines have discovered new content.
- 3. Monitor. Scheduled AI Visibility Checks run saved prompts daily or hourly across five AI engines and capture full response snapshots with mention position, cited sources, and the verbatim AI response text with timestamps for historical comparison.
- 4. Analyze. Sentiment scoring labels each mention (positive, neutral, negative), competitor tracking shows where rivals appear, and the AI Visibility Score aggregates presence across engines and prompts into a single trendable number.
- 5. Improve. The Actions Engine reads monitoring data and generates page-level content briefs covering what to restructure, which entities to clarify, what schema to add, and what topics to cover. Recommendations feed back into stage 1 and the cycle repeats.
Why AI search visibility matters
Pew Research found in March 2025 that 58% of US adults have seen a Google AI Overview, and Similarweb tracks ChatGPT at over 1 billion monthly users. Gartner forecasts a 25% decline in traditional search query volume by 2026 as AI assistants absorb more queries upstream of the classic ten blue links. McKinsey’s 2025 B2B buyer study found 84% of B2B CMOs already use AI assistants for vendor discovery.
BrightEdge’s 2025 visibility report found 62% disagreement between which brands Google ranks and which brands AI engines cite. A strong Google ranking does not guarantee AI mentions. The peer-reviewed GEO study by Aggarwal et al. (ACM KDD 2024) found that adding statistics to content lifted AI visibility by 33%, adding expert quotations lifted it by 41%, and citing authoritative sources lifted it by 25%. Those signals map to the content-depth, citation, and entity-clarity checks Foglift uses in its AI Readiness workflow.

How Foglift compares
Foglift competes in two adjacent categories. Against AI brand monitoring tools such as Peec AI, Profound, and Otterly.ai, Foglift adds Technical Audits, AI Readiness scoring, page-level recommendations, and a free tier. Against legacy SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, and Moz, Foglift adds an AI-search workflow that starts with page readiness and continues through monitoring, citation tracking, and shipped fixes.
