Product and evidence

What Foglift measures

Understand the difference between technical readiness, answer visibility, crawler activity, and real visits from AI answers.

What is Foglift?

Foglift is an AI-search visibility platform that connects three jobs: Technical Audits for site and page readiness, AI Visibility monitoring for mentions and citations across answer engines, and a prioritized improvement workflow. It also records first-party AI crawler activity and recognized referrals so teams can separate retrieval, answer visibility, and real visits.

How is Foglift different from a traditional SEO tool?

Search rankings and AI answers are separate evidence layers. Foglift combines search-health and AI Readiness checks with tracked answers from five AI engines, provider-returned citations, competitor context, crawler-purpose analytics, recognized AI referrals, and prioritized recommendations.

What does a Foglift Technical Audit check?

A Technical Audit reports five dimensions for one public URL: search health, AI Readiness, performance, security, and accessibility. Single-page Technical Audits are unlimited on every plan, require no signup on the public route, and include a shareable result plus PDF export.

What is the difference between AI Readiness and AI Visibility?

AI Readiness is a page-level Technical Audit measure based on eight structural dimensions, including headings, entities, citations, topical depth, and crawler access. AI Visibility measures observed answer outcomes such as brand mentions, position, sentiment, citations, competitors, and share of voice across tracked prompts.

Does an AI crawler fetch mean my page was cited?

No. Foglift classifies crawler activity by purpose, including training, search indexing, and live user-requested fetches. A fetch shows retrieval activity. A citation is a URL returned with an AI answer, and a recognized referral is a person who clicked through from an AI service. Foglift reports these signals separately.

Can Foglift guarantee that an AI engine will recommend my brand?

No platform can guarantee a recommendation from an independent answer engine. Foglift shows which prompts and engines mention a brand, which sources they cite, where competitors appear, whether AI crawlers reach the site, and which evidence-backed improvements to prioritize next.

Plans and monitoring

What each plan includes

Compare engine coverage, monitoring cadence, plan limits, developer access, and client-delivery boundaries.

What AI engines does Foglift monitor?

Foglift monitors ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overview. Free monitoring uses Perplexity. Launch, Growth, and Enterprise can monitor all five engines.

What is included in the Free plan?

Free includes 200 monitoring tokens per month, one brand, one team member, unlimited single-page Technical Audits, and weekly Perplexity monitoring while active. Scheduled Free monitoring pauses after more than 42 days without qualifying activity. Paid plans do not use this inactivity pause.

How much does Foglift cost?

Free costs $0/mo. Launch costs $49/mo for 4,000 monthly tokens, three brands, three team members, five-engine monitoring, and developer access. Growth costs $129/mo for 11,500 monthly tokens, ten brands, ten team members, faster monitoring, Buyer-intent Win Rate, sitemap scanning, and a branded Client Portal. Enterprise uses Custom pricing and allowances.

How often does Foglift run AI Visibility monitoring?

Free monitoring runs weekly on Perplexity while active. Paid onboarding defaults are Launch weekly, Growth daily, and Enterprise daily. The fastest allowed cadences are Launch daily, Growth twice daily, and Enterprise hourly. Paid teams can choose a slower allowed cadence or run checks manually.

Do paid plans include API, CLI, and MCP access?

Developer access starts on Launch and includes the REST API, CLI, and MCP server. Launch allows 50 API requests per day and 1,000 per month. Growth allows 200 per day and 5,000 per month. Enterprise API limits are Custom.

Can agencies share branded reports with clients?

Every plan includes PDF export. Growth includes a branded read-only Client Portal. Enterprise adds full white-label delivery with a custom domain, footer removal, and white-label PDF reports. The current Client Portal does not include a separate client login.

Setup and workflows

How teams use Foglift

Move from one-page checks to whole-site coverage, recurring monitoring, developer workflows, and tracked improvements.

Can I audit a site before creating an account?

Yes. The public Technical Audit accepts one public URL with no signup or credit card. It reports search health, AI Readiness, performance, security, and accessibility. An account adds saved history, recurring monitoring, workspace evidence, and improvement workflows.

How do full-site Technical Audits work?

Launch, Growth, and Enterprise include automatic weekly full-site coverage. Each run selects up to 100 eligible pages and preserves completed findings in Technical History. An entitled workspace can also start a manual full-site run when its seven-day availability opens.

What does the MCP connection provide?

Foglift's MCP endpoint lets supported AI assistants read scoped AI Visibility and Technical Audit data through authenticated tools. Connect Assistant provides setup paths for Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, Codex, and Gemini. Developer access begins on Launch.

How does Foglift decide what to improve first?

The Recommendations Engine uses deterministic product evidence rather than a runtime analyst call. It combines tracked answer outcomes, competitor displacement, citation opportunities, technical findings, source patterns, and traffic evidence to rank a fix queue and decide whether an existing page should be strengthened or a missing page should be created.

How do I cancel a subscription?

A workspace owner can cancel from Settings. The subscription remains available through the current billing period, and the account moves to the applicable Free-plan limits afterward.
